International volunteering

Volunteering is a great opportunity to share your skills and knowledge with people from different backgrounds and learn about other countries and cultures. Through our partnerships, you can organise activities for children and young people, help with community projects, develop enterprise initiatives, or support health programmes.

Over volunteer experiences run all over the world, including:

  • UK
  • Costa Rica
  • Fiji
  • Greece
  • India
  • Romania
  • Thailand
  • South Africa
  • Uganda

Think Pacific was launched by alumnus Simon Darker (BSc (Hons) Sport & Exercise Science, 2003) and Harry Hunter, a graduate of the University of Leeds. The charity works on rural education and sports development activities in partnership with the Fijian government.

In 2013, Emma Ray was a Sport and Recreational Development student at Leeds Beckett when she organised her own gap year experience with Think Pacific, which made such an impact on her she introduced the Exchange, Study Abroad and Volunteering team at Leeds Beckett to the charity.
