LSA Interior Architecture Student Wins IE Velocity 2020 National Studio Project Award
BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Design student Miles Davidson has recently won the Interior Educators Velocity 2020 National Studio Project Award for his proposal to repurpose the subterranean RAF Bempton Bunker.
Autism-Friendly Design: Learning about Real Life through the Virtual Environment
Students from BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Design have been on a mission to spread the word about their autism-friendly design projects, with their tutor Joan Love. Additionally, the briefs provided an opportunity to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic, integrating a series of design ideas relating to social distancing, hygiene and materials with natural anti-microbial properties.

Joan Love, a Senior lecturer on BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design, has had an article on ‘Autism-friendly architecture’ included on The National Autistic Societies ‘Network Autism’, Good Practice and Knowledge base. This highly regarded platform shares the most up to date expertise, practice and resources amongst professionals across the community.
