The Golden Robes are student led awards that recognise the excellent work of colleagues across the University and within the Leeds Beckett Community as a whole.

In the nomination for Best Team, the Politics and International Relations team was recognised as having made a significant impact on past and present students. Their commitment to providing opportunities for personal development was highlighted, as was their willingness to provide continuing guidance to their students. The nomination highlighted that the team are determined to “go above and beyond” for their students, particularly when it comes to showing faith in them and encouraging them to believe that they are capable of anything

In addition to the whole team nomination Dr Tom Houseman, Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations, was nominated again in the Best Lecturer category after winning the Golden Robe for Best Dissertation Supervisor in 2019.

We look forward to the outcome of the awards in June!
