Library Offsite Service | Blog

Want to borrow any books?

The Library posts books out to you free of charge if you’re a distance learning student registered with Offsite – you just pay the cost of returning them.

Want to borrow any books

Requesting books is really easy! If you’re on the Internet, you can do this anytime, any place, anywhere!

  1. Log in to the Library Catalogue
  2. Find the book that you want
  3. Click the ‘Place Hold’ link to the left of the screen
  4. Tick the box next to where it says ‘OR Post item to me’ and check the ‘Update my data’ and ‘Terms and Conditions’ boxes
  5. Enter the date you no longer need the item by
  6. Click the ‘Place Hold’ button
  7. Click on ‘Ok’ to confirm the hold

Or, you can submit one of our online contact forms, or email us at offsite@leedsmet.ac.uk

Alternatively, you could give us a call on (0113) 81 26779 and chat to one of our friendly team.

Offsite will then send an email to your student email to let you know when the book has been sent. We’ll also email you if we have any queries about your request.
