Scared of writing assignments? Don’t know where to turn? Leeds Beckett Library can help!
Do you have Halloween assignment horrors?
We know writing your assignments can be scary, whether it’s managing your time, finding the information you need, structuring your work, or referencing. Please don’t worry - there are lots of ways the Library can support you.
This Halloween members of the Library team have been helping to allay those fears.
But what if I never come into the university? If you’re a distance learner, there are several support options available to help you.
Your Academic Librarian can help you find information for your assignment, or why not take a look at their subject guides on the Library website to get you started. You can also use the Discover search tool, to find thousands of resources. And scary references can be dealt with by contacting one of our expert librarians.
Skills for Learning also offer recorded workshops on a number of assignment-related topics. Their website includes loads of information and help on academic skills. They have a series of helpful publications too, which can all be accessed as pdf files – from time management to essay writing and more besides. You could also check out the webinars on offer, on topics such as critical thinking or how to structure an essay. Plus there are a number of short podcasts on a whole range of topics.
Don’t let the assignment horrors get to you this Halloween!
We’d love to hear from you!
