Welcome to new and returning students in 2021
Here's a recap of how the Library can support your studies.
Our Library website provides access to thousands of electronic resources for your studies, including electronic books and journals. You can use our Discover academic search engine to find these or look at the online guides created for each subject. You can also find your reading lists alongside your modules in MyBeckett.
Advice on getting set up with IT, including digital security, using MyBeckett, downloading Office 365 and accessing lectures and meetings online is available on our IT Support pages. Library staff have also written hints and tips for setting up your study space and learning to learn online.
Our Academic Support team will help you develop your academic skills including essay writing, referencing and research skills. Our Skills for Learning website has lots of useful resources and you can book to attend free online workshops and study cafes via MyHub. You can also book online or phone appointments for help via the form on our Skills and Subject Support page.
If you live locally and need to study in the Libraries you must book a time and individual space via Book a Study Space. We are open 09:00 - 21:00 Monday - Friday and 11:00 - 17:00 Saturday and Sunday. We also have short stay appointments if you need to print.
Please remember to wear your masks when you are in the Library, including whilst sat at study spaces, as well as observing social distancing and hand hygiene guidelines.
If you live in the UK or mainland Europe you can have print material posted out to you via our Offsite postal loans service. For further information on how to sign-up please see the Offsite web pages.
If you wish to collect items from either Library, please use the Click and Collect service. Please ensure you follow all the steps in this process and have an appointment to collect your books before you come to the Library. You can post books back to us or return books to collection points in either Library during the opening times above.
Extra support continues to be available via our website and online appointments with our Disability Support Team.
If you have any queries regarding the Offsite postal loan service, please contact us at email@example.com.
