The Skills for Learning essay writing themed week proved very popular last week and increasing the number of students booking onto workshops since the start of term to over 800.

To mark the occasion, there will be a prize for our 1000th booking. One lucky student will win a copy of Quote Unquote and a set of Little Books – it could be you!

Where the size of the classroom allows, we’ve already increased the maximum number of places for future workshops.

A quick reminder – if you do book a place and find you can’t come, please use the link in the email to cancel it, as there are waiting lists for most workshops.

Although the themed week on essay writing has now finished there are still lots of workshops running in the programme to help you; including mind mapping and effective writing skills.  The website also has useful information on the topic and Skills for Learning’s Academic Skills tutor Michael Shields was interviewed for an article on essay writing recently published on the Prospects website.
