Skills for Learning

Following the success of the essay writing themed week Skills for Learning are dedicating two weeks of workshops to help you research and write your dissertation.

Skills for Learning

From the 23rd November we’ll be covering topics including literature reviews, critical thinking, successful time management and referencing. For those of you who have to include statistical analysis, we’ll also be running workshops on SPSS, questionnaire design and analysing your data. Look out for the festively-themed red timetables and flyers for more details, or go to theworkshop calendar on the Skills for Learning website to book your place.

During the fortnight, we’ll also be ‘popping up’ at City and Headingley, so come and say hello. Tutors will be on hand some of the time, so if you have any burning questions about academic writing, now’s your chance! We may even have some free copies of our ‘Little Books’ to give away…..

We’ll be in the Rose Bowl (near the Student Hub) from 12pm on Tuesday 24th November, and in the Student Hub at Headingley at the same time on Tuesday 1st December.  Hope to see you there!
