Exam Survival

From silent study space to motivational playlists there's lots of help available from the Library to help you survive your exams.

Exam Success

Find a space to revise

The Library is open 24/7 so you can revise whenever it suits you best. We have silent study spaces at both campuses (first floor in Headingley Library and second and third floors in Sheila Silver Library). If someone is talking you can text us on 0113 320 7594 to let us know.

Remember there are study spaces in some of the Halls of Residences and lots of social learning spaces around campus if you prefer a different study environment. Our study spaces web page gives more information. And you can use the IT Labs if there is no teaching in them - just check the timetables outside.

Develop the skills you need

We have plenty of books on exam techniques and there are resources on exam preparation and revision and time management on the Skills for Learning website.

Look after your wellbeing

Remember to look after your wellbeing whilst you revise, take plenty of breaks and eat properly and keep hydrated - there are water fountains in both Libraries.

We've also created a couple of Spotify playlists to help you along - try our motivational or relaxing music ones depending on your mood!

Don't cause yourself stress by turning up at the wrong location for your exam - check your exam timetable for where you need to be and plan your travel with plenty of time to spare.

And of course ask for help whenever you need it - you can contact us by phone or chat 24/7.
