Using the Library over summer?

We’re open 24/7 during the vacation if you want to come in and study.

However, due to essential electrical work, both Libraries will have to close for a short period over the weekend of 24 and 25 August 2019. We will post additional information about the closures as soon as possible.

Remember to have your Campus Card to enter Sheila Silver Library during the day and both Libraries overnight.

Working at home

If you’re at home you can still access your work via OneDrive or via the Files tab in MyBeckett and use Discover for fast and easy searching of our books and journals.

Please note: MyBeckett will be unavailable from Friday 2 August 17:00 to Tuesday 6 August 17:00 for it's annual upgrade. You won't be able to access Modules, Course Groups or Turnitin but many services and resources will still be available.

You can also visit other university libraries via the SCONUL Access Scheme (connect to the eduroam wireless network before you leave Leeds so you can use your laptop when you go).

If you don’t need your books over the summer vacation please return them to the Library. Any item that you still have on loan will continue to renew every week unless another student reserves it, or it reaches the maximum number of renewals. We’ll email your University email account if we need you to return your books, so please remember to check it regularly. You’ll then have 7 days to return the item. Please also remember to cancel any Reservations you no longer need so that other students can use the stock.

If you’re graduating this year you need to return your books by 30 June. You also lose access to your university accounts by 30 September – see our Graduating this Summer blog post for more information.
