National Award for Teaching Quality

Congratulations to our Building Services Engineering course team who have been awarded the Happold Brilliant prize sponsored by the Happold Foundation!

National Award for Teaching Quality

The Happold Brilliant Prize is awarded to a University that has shown academic excellence in the teaching of the Built Environment. We were nominated for the award by the accreditation panel at CIBSE who undertook the accreditation of our Leeds Beckett Building Services Engineering courses.

Mike White, the Course Director for the BSE programmes accepted the award:

“I am so proud of this acknowledgement of the hard work, commitment and expertise exhibited by the teaching team, admin team and support staff and would like to thank them for their efforts. However, we should not forget the reason why we became educators in the first place. The students. They are awesome. Well done to everyone and hopefully this will reinforce our aspirations to become a Centre of Excellence for Building Services Engineering education within the Yorkshire region, and in time nationally and potentially on a global basis.”

Well done to the Building Services Engineering team!
