School of Built Environment expands Construction Informatics and Digital Enterprise research portfolio

Our research focuses on the investigation, design, development, deployment and use of digital technologies and solutions such as BIM, digital twin, big data analytics, IoT and Machine Learning, among others, to address various issues affecting productivity, sustainability and/or efficiency in the AEC industry.

Inspirational talk on Data Security by Guest Lecturer and Leeds Beckett alumnus, James Johnson

James Johnson graduated from BSc (Hons) Computer Forensics and Security in July 2016 with 1st class Honours. He took a place on the graduate training programme at NCC Group but was moved to the role of Security Consultant after only 3 months. James is now a Senior Security Consultant with the company.

Students on our Computer Forensics and Security courses attended a talk at Headingley Campus on Tuesday 8th October by the Yorkshire and Humberside regional Cybercrime Unit to find out about the potential graduate opportunities and internships available in this increasingly important area of work.

Promoting Data Science in Schools

Leeds Beckett Data Science Team visited Roundhay School this week to run a workshop on Data Science to Y13 students and promote our new BSc Data Science course, starting in 2020.
