A paper published in the Journal of Policy Research in Tourism, Leisure and Events lists Leeds Beckett University jointly with The University of Queensland, Australia, as having produced the most single authored papers in the field.  It also places UKCEM fifth in the world for total number of papers published in specialist peer reviewed event management journals.

Commenting on the results, Dean Rhodri Thomas 'This is great news as we enter a year-long celebration of 25 years of event management education and research at this university. When we started, we were the only university in Europe to offer dedicated event management courses.  It is great that so many other institutions have joined us but pleasing that our team of specialist staff are still able to offer academic leadership that reflects our heritage in this field.'
