BSc (Hons) Public Health Graduation in Zambia

On 19th September we held our graduation ceremony for the BSc (Hons) Public Health which is delivered in Lusaka. This course first ran in January 2015 and our 3rd cohort of students have now started graduating.

Members of the Childhood Development & Playwork course team accompanied ten students from across levels 4 to 6 on a three-day study tour of Copenhagen, Denmark in March 2019. The aim of the visit was to explore alternative models of provision for children and young people between the ages of 0 – 14 years of age.

Gypsy and Traveller Health Improvement Evaluation

Inequality is rarely starker than that experienced by the Gypsy and Traveller community. Average life expectancy is estimated to be in its 50s. The oldest man at one Leeds site, housing over 100 families, is 60 years old. The Centre for Health Promotion Research (CHPR) was commissioned by Leeds CCG, to evaluate a project aiming to improve the health of the city’s Gypsies and Travellers.
