Leeds Beckett Lecturer Awarded Title of Queen's Nurse

Sharon Underwood has been awarded the prestigious title of Queen's Nurse by the Queens Nursing Institute (QNI).

Sharon is a former Leeds Beckett University student (BSc (Hons) Specialist Community Public Health Nursing-Health Visiting & MSc Public Health - Health Promotion) and is now a part-time lecturer at Leeds Beckett. Sharon is also a Health Visitor for Integrated Children’s Additional Needs (ICAN) Service with Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

The title of ‘Queen’s Nurse’ is available to individual community nurses who have demonstrated a high level of commitment to patient care and nursing practice. Sharon will attend a ceremony in London in June where she will formally receive her award.
