Spring Clean Week (4th - 8th June)

Between the 4th to 8th June, we will be having the first official Spring Clean Week in our university. The idea did spring out after presenting some of the new changes in the new toolkit at the Green Impact relaunch.

The Continuous Improvement Unit were keen to deliver a workshop on how departments can deliver effective spring clean activities to staff. Out of this idea came a Spring Clean Workshop which leads to the Spring Clean Week.

The workshop will focus on how teams can deliver spring clean via the 5s methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain). We will prove to you how by being less cluttered you can achieve more at work and be more efficient.

Items which are surplus to requirements and are destined to be scrapped can be added to warpit. They can be then claimed by members of staff across the University.

The workshop will be  on the 30th May, 9.30 - 12.30. The location is Portland 409.

To attend please email

During Spring Clean Week, we shall also be giving tips to encourage staff to make changes and towards the end of the week, we shall gather and share what we have learnt and achieved.
