Wheelchair Tennis Coaching
This is a one day practical Continual Professional Development course (6 Licence Points) for LTA Licenced coaches who would like to develop their skills to work with wheelchair tennis players.
Carnegie Sports Centre, Headingley Campus, Leeds Beckett University
This course builds on the disability awareness course and existing experience working with wheelchair tennis players and covers the following key areas in a practical setting working with national standard wheelchair players:
- Recreation vs. performance
- Spinal anatomy
- Playing opportunities
- GB performance pathway
- Health and safety
- Equality and diversity
- The chair
- Shot production
- Working with players - activities, drills and match play
- Video work

Coach Development Centre
In September 2020 Carnegie Coach Education at Leeds Beckett University became an approved Coach Development Centre for the Lawn Tennis Association. CCE will be one of only 12 centres across the country who are permitted to deliver LTA accredited courses.
