Learn to master experiential marketing through event experiences and create a memorable impact on customers. This course will help you develop the expertise to operate at a strategic level in marketing roles in the events industry and enable you to make your business really stand out.
You will gain an in-depth understanding of current key political, social, cultural, environmental and economic issues that shape the marketing of events across the globe. Through the study of global brand management, you will analyse the identity of brands and their position within an international market. You will look at what experiential marketing means to people and how events can be created to evoke positive emotions. You will discover how relationship marketing helps harmonise brand positioning and learn how personality is used to bring brands to life during immersive experiences and activation events.
Studying alongside peers and industry professionals, you will examine consumer behaviour – how consumers behave and why they behave the way they do – and you will develop the tools, techniques and strategies to influence these behaviours to generate and retain loyal target audiences going forwards.
A range of research modules will equip you will the knowledge, skills and tools you will need to evaluate valid and reliable methods for data collection and analysis, and you will learn to critique advances in theories, strategies and methodologies for an extended piece of research.
By drawing on a range of strategic marketing techniques and stakeholder management knowledge and skills, you will be able to deliver safe, successful and memorable events in local, national and international settings.
This course is taught at The UK Centre for Events Management which has a global reputation as a market leader in events management education. We have close links with a wide range of industry partners and associations who all recognise our expertise in educating the events professionals of the future.
You will join a community of postgraduate events students, alumni and industry experts with whom you will be able to share experiences, ideas and best practice.
In addition, you will become part of The UK Centre for Events Management, which has been educating events professionals for more than 21 years. Our specialist team draws together academics and events professionals who have designed and developed dynamic courses that are informed by industry and research. Our staff are also engaged in research and consultancy work and publish their findings in textbooks and journals of international standing.
