We recognise there may be a variety of reasons why you might not have the required UCAS entry requirements to secure a place on the full degree programme. This integrated foundation year will enable you to transition onto our BSc (Hons) Social Care, Justice & Recovery course. It will also help you prepare for academic life at university.

As part of your foundation year, you’ll:

  • Study health and community studies-related modules that will give you a broad understanding of the multi-disciplinary health and social care sector
  • Study additional modules that will help you develop the academic and study skills you’ll need to successfully transition from school, college or the workplace into higher education

As part of your course, you’ll:

  • Hone your communication and therapeutic skills through simulated counselling sessions
  • Explore and analyse child development, drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence and mental health issues
