Travel

Information on travel for students including rules on students travelling to visit their family and advice for commuting to campus.

National lockdown restrictions are set to finish on 2 December. The Government issued guidance on 11 November around a student travel window lasting from 3-9 December to enable students to return home at the end of term, if they choose to do so. We will be emailing all students on 11 November with a detailed explanation of how this will be applied at Leeds Beckett University.

Students can commute to attend university but must follow national and local rules and guidance.

When a student moves into accommodation, they form a household with the others in their flat. To prevent the spread of the virus, government guidance requires students to remain at their term-time address and not travel home to self-isolate.

As a university and in individual accommodation, our support and services are in place for students to need to self-isolate, find details of our Residence Life team and Student Wellbeing team.

When a student move into accommodation, they form a household with the others in their flat. This means seeing friends and family outside their new household must be undertaken in line with the government guidance.
