Information for colleagues
Training and Development
Whether working on campus or from home, all colleagues are encouraged to continue enhancing their skills and professionalism by engaging with the training and development opportunities available.
People Development Online
Our comprehensive range of online learning courses, supported by the People and Organisational Development Team (POD), are still available via People Development Online, and have recently been expanded to include courses such as:
- Managing a remote workforce
- Mental health awareness
- Self care and wellbeing
Each of the workshops are limited to small numbers of colleagues and are highly interactive to provide an enjoyable and effective learning experience. A number of these webinars have been specifically designed to address the current challenges we face, such as:
- How to be personally effective when working remotely
- Virtual team collaboration
The induction programme has now been redesigned into webinar format. A highly interactive experience, the webinar gives new colleagues an opportunity to find out more about the wider university, services available and is an opportunity to engage with other new employees. To book a place email POD@leedsbeckett.ac.uk.
IT Skills and Knowledge
Working remotely enhances the need for higher levels of IT skills. Sessions and support for this can be found on the IT Skills webpage.
Coaching and Mentoring
Our networks of qualified coaches and experienced mentors are still available to support your development. These confidential conversations will be held virtually online and are an opportunity to discuss any current challenges you may be facing. More information may be found in the coaching and mentoring sections.
MyBeckett and Digital Learning
The Digital Learning Service offer webinars, guides and self-paced training modules to support you in using MyBeckett, Turnitin, PebblePad and more. This range will be expanded to support two new digital tools, Collaborate and Ally, coming to MyBeckett ready for September 2020.
