Works are now complete on a £250k makeover of the Sheila Silver Library at City Campus. The ground floor and entrance area have undergone significant refurbishment works to create a more effective and inspiring learning environment for our students.
The works, which began in May, have transformed the layout of the space and significantly enhanced the service and facilities provided. The newly designed open plan space has helped to maximise the seating capacity and improved students’ access to the library’s services and facilities.
The project has also seen the creation of new Library and Student IT advice areas which will enable students to get help quickly and easily on research, skills and IT issues, as well as new one-to-one consultation spaces for more in-depth advice. New carpets, paintwork and furniture throughout complement the recently refurbished areas on the upper floors and have created a brighter and more attractive study environment.
