The relocation and refurbishment of the Sports Injury Treatment Centre, which is run by our School of Clinical and Applied Sciences, is now complete.

The clinic, which provides a professional clinical environment for our physiotherapy students to gain first-hand, gives students and staff free access to professional physiotherapy treatment and advice, whilst also delivering specialised support to the many elite athletes that use the university’s sports facilities.

The new facility, which is now located at the trackside pavilion, houses eight treatment cubicles which each have a medical couch, an ultrasound scanner and an Accusonic Plus massager, and it has been equipped with a range of rehabilitation facilities including wall bars and other physiotherapy aids. The works also involved the creation of a new changing facility for users of the centre and a preparation room. New LED lighting, along with redecorated walls and flooring, has also given the facility a brighter and more spacious feel.
