Ann Wagner: The Patient Will See You Now Dr ….The Changing Face of Healthcare Communications
With an Executive career that has included regional and national roles in the NHS, Ann Wagner shares her reflections and experiences when she returns to Leeds Business School some 30 years after graduating.
Ann Wagner recently moved to the South West, having spent over 30 years living and working in West Yorkshire. She studied business studies and graphic design at Newcastle, followed by a Diploma in Marketing at Leeds Business School. Her early career focussed on marketing-related posts in local government and then a stint in the private sector working on a range of business-to-business accounts as a public relations consultant. However it wasn’t until Ann joined the NHS in 1990 as one of the NHS’s first qualified marketing managers that she discovered her true calling and sold her heart (and soul!) to a career in the NHS.
27 years later, with an Executive career that has included regional and national roles, Ann has not lost her passion or energy for the NHS and admits to an insatiable appetite for making a difference. She is constantly on the lookout for big gobs (glimpses of brilliance) to support and promote and has had the pleasure to work alongside numerous inspirational people and teams, dedicated to making a difference to people when they are at their most vulnerable. She is particularly interested in the enabling power of technology which is changing the face of healthcare access, treatment and communications and looks forward to sharing her reflections and experiences when she returns to Leeds Business School some 30 years after graduating.
