'Chasing the Sporting Dream' Looking for universal solutions in identifying and developing healthy & high performing athletes

In his inaugural lecture, Professor Kevin Till will explore the contributing factors to individuals achieving sporting success and why potentially millions of others don't.

Harry Kane. Joe Root. Owen Farrell. All young English sportsmen performing at the top of their game! But have you ever wondered why these individuals achieved their success and why potentially millions of others didn’t?

In his inaugural lecture, Professor Kevin Till will highlight how several factors can influence whether a youth athlete is identified as ‘talented’ and explore the complexity of athletic development.

Kevin Till is Professor of Athletic Development within the Sports Coaching group in the Carnegie School of Sport at Leeds Beckett University.

This lecture is part of Leeds Beckett University's Professorial Inaugural Lecture Series.
