Lunchtime Lectures: Simulation & Materialisation through Procedural Methodologies

Senior Lecturer in Architecture Keith Andrews about design studio Abstract Machine. The talk details Abstract Machine’s installation work; through, modelling, simulating and manufacture, culminating with the Greatham Creek seal and bird hides.

Keith Andrews is Deputy Head of the Leeds School of Architecture, coordinator of postgraduate architectural technology, and the course leader of the MA Architecture. He also directs the MArch (Master of Architecture) studio Abstract Machine. He is a partner of architectural practice HOT Architecture. He previously was a partner at Barham Andrews and worked for a range of architectural firms in both London and Manchester. One of HOT Architecture’s projects, Langhus in Beverley, was featured as an exemplar project on BBC Two’s The House That £100 Built in 2014.
