11:00 - Independent International Volunteering. Find out how you can access guidance, support and funding to organise your own international volunteering.
13:00 - Fundraising. Meet Lois who volunteering in Thailand in summer 2018 and raised all her project fees through fundraising.
Study Abroad Fair
Discover where in the world you could be studying in the second year of your undergraduate course. We will have country-specific stalls and students talking about their experience and benefits of studying abroad.

Come and meet Noushin Raja Founder at Moonlight Trust will share her experiences of designing and delivering international humanitarian relief projects from Boat Rescue Missions on the Greek Island of Lesvos to building shelters for Rohyinga Refugees in Bangladesh. The session will also include tips of what does it take to be a CEO of an international charity and how we as change makers can create a positive social global impact in today's society.

Skills development through International Volunteering
Having been involved in many international exchange programmes and projects over many years. I believe that I have real insight into just how beneficial taking part can be. This workshop will reflect on some of the things I have done, discuss the skills and experience potential gained from being involved and how this can develop your confidence, your leadership skills and of course your attractiveness to a potential employer. There will be a chance to explore your needs from a programme as well as the opportunity to ask questions.

Diversity Fashion Show
The Students' Union are the host of this amazing showcase event, student led by our International Society and Raise and Give society (RAG) to raise money for nominated charities (to be announced on the night). Come and experience how diverse our university is by seeing outfits from around the globe modeled by our staff and students. There will also be some music and dance performances. The evening will have a pay as you feel food option, raffle, henna paint, glitter and much more to raise money for the nominated charities. Entry is free but please bring some money to support the good causes.

The international Students' Campaign represents and campaigns on behalf of international students studying at Leeds Beckett University. All international students are welcome and this meeting will be an informal opportunity for international students to discuss with the International Rep any ideas and concerns relating to their experiences at Leeds Beckett.

An evening to bring together our International Volunteers and Study Abroad students to celebrate these amazing opportunities, to reminisce and to network. There will be welcome drinks and food. Booking is essential, please contact email@example.com for details.
This event is aimed for staff, students and alumni who have been on International Volunteering and Study Abroad but if you are keen to find out more about these opportunities and how you can get involved then you are also welcome to book a place and come along

International Society and International Social Network Trip to Ilkley
Situated in the Yorkshire Dales, Ilkley is a picturesque former spa town with excellent cafes and restaurants and is the home to the famous Betty’s Café and Tea Rooms - a truly British experience. There are many independent shops selling gifts and lots of vintage items too.
Meet us at Leeds Train Station by the big LEEDS sign at 1030 and we will take the train to Ilkley.
