Accommodation for self-isolation
Depending on which country you are travelling from you may need to quarantine for 14 days when you arrive in the UK. We will provide you with free accommodation during this period and the support you need to help you through this time.
Accommodation will be provided in our Halls of Residence, where you will isolate with up to five other students who also need to isolate for this period. The flats will be equipped with everything you need to cater for yourself including bedding. We will also help you buy food online for delivery to your flats. There will be options to buy bedding and extra kitchen equipment which you can take with you to your accommodation after isolation.
Do I need to self-isolate?
If you are from a country not on the UK's Travel Corridor country list, then you will need to self-isolate for a maximum of 14 days when you arrive in the UK.
Am I eligible for self-isolation accommodation?
Free 14-day accommodation is only available to new students enrolling for the first time at Leeds Beckett in 2020/21.
Student accommodation is not suitable for families with children. We would encourage families to go directly to your private accommodation upon arrival in the UK. Families are still welcome to book the airport meet and greet service, and will be provided with full support from our team throughout the 14-day isolation period.
If you need to self-isolate, we will arrange free transport from your arrival airport to your isolation room. Find out how to book.
Support during isolation
Our International Student Engagement Officers will be supporting you while you are in your isolation period with online events, welcome activities and a dedicated social programme to help you meet people and make friends online
