Applying for your course from europe

Choose your course

The following information is for students applying from the EU/EEA. Students from outside the EU/EEA should follow advice for international students.

Before you apply the first thing is to decide the course you want to study. There are a couple of ways you can apply depending on whether you want to study an undergraduate or postgraduate course. If you have not yet decided on the course you want to study you can search our online prospectus.

Applying for an undergraduate course

If you want to study an undergraduate course you should apply through a website called UCAS.com.

If you want to apply for a part-time undergraduate course you will apply directly to us by clicking on the 'Apply Now' button at the top of the online course page - see the section 'Applying for a postgraduate course' below.

UCAS Application process

We've put together a useful diagram which shows you step by step the process of applying through UCAS

Applying for a postgraduate course

Once you have found the course you want to study in our online prospectus you will click on the ‘Apply Now’ button located at the top of the online course page.

You will be asked to create an account on our online application portal and complete your application via your Leeds Beckett account.

What to include in your application

When you submit your application you will need to upload copies of your:

  • Academic certificates
  • Evidence of your English language ability (if required)
  • A reference to support your application – either academic or professional.

Once we have all the above documents we will then be able to look at your application. One of the important things to consider is your personal statement.

English language requirements

If your first language is not English then you will need to submit evidence of your English language ability.

If you’re unsure then do contact our Student Admissions team who will happy to guide you through which English qualification you need.

After you apply

After submitting your application, we will send you your personal application ID number. You will be asked to quote this number when contacting us, so remember to keep it safe.

If your application is successful we will send you either:

  • a conditional offer - this means we will require some additional information from you, such as exam results or some missing information in your application

or

  • an unconditional offer – this means that you have met all the entry requirements and have been offered a place on your chosen course.

You will then need to let us know whether you want to accept or withdraw your offer. You will either do this through the UCAS website, or by logging into your Leeds Beckett account in our online applicant portal.

If you need any help with your application, contact our Student Admissions team who will be happy to help you.
