Erasmus Individual volunteering
Young people living in the UK can take part in volunteering opportunities, lasting from two weeks to 12 months, through the European Solidarity Corps. Through the programme you can have the chance to experience other cultures and languages up-close and the opportunity to try out the type of work you might like to do in the future. Future employers will like the fact that you have international experience and you will be able to impress them at interviews with your new-found skills.
Can I take part?
If you are aged between 18-30 and living in the UK, you can take part. You must be either a student studying at Leeds Beckett or an alumni of Leeds Beckett. There are loads of different opportunities to choose from, short term or long term.
European Solidarity Corps funding will cover everything from travel and accommodation to food and insurance, as well as provide you with a small monthly allowance. Leeds Beckett has been allocated a certain number of Individual volunteering opportunities to include a travel grant plus money for an allowance. You will be given your funding allocations once you have found an appropriate project.
How do I take part?
If you are interested in participating, you can find out more information on the Solidarity Corps UK website. Participants from the UK who want to volunteer must be registered on the European Solidarity Corps Portal.
