Helping you through the pandemic
During the pandemic it is important that you look after your mental wellbeing, eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly. Here we give you a range of activities and advice which will have a positive impact on your mental and physical health.
If you are self-isolating our 7, 10 and 14-day self-isolation programmes suggest activity for you to undertake each day. Or if you’d prefer, you can create your own programme to suit your daily needs and interests. Our COVID-19 webpages provide information on self-isolating and the support available.
Looking after your mental wellbeing
The Importance of self-care
During the pandemic, it’s safe to say that we’ve all experienced feelings of anxiety and uncertainty to a greater or lesser extent. There’s no doubt that the situation has had an impact on the mental health of each and every one of us in some way. So, if there was ever a time to start taking (better) care of ourselves, it’s now.
Victoria Archibold, Alumnus, Physical Activity & Health used her own experience of studying at university to create a business specifically aimed at students. UniHeads offers online mental health training for students. It focuses on: optimising your wellbeing, building mental fitness, looking out for your mates, and offers a COVID-19 toolkit. This service is free of charge for Leeds Beckett students.
