Michael Taylor

Senior Lecturer

Michael is an Academic Tutor and PhD Scholar at Leeds Business School. He joined Leeds Business School in 2014, in a hybrid role as an Academic Tutor and PhD Scholar. Prior to making the transition into academia Michael successfully led and managed a wide variety of people, processes and group sizes in both the public and private sector, delivering positive results in a variety of operational settings.

Current Teaching

Michael teaches across a number of modules on both the undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses within the Business School. His key teaching areas include Business Ethics, Governance, CSR, Sustainability, Leadership, HRM and Consultancy. He is also a Personal Tutor for Year 2 Business Studies students.

Research Interests

Michael's research interests are centred around business ethics and responsible management practices, with a specific focus on SME's. He is also heavily involved with the implementation and integration of PRME into the Business School curriculum. Michael is attached to the research centre for Governance, Leadership and Global Responsibility, headed by Prof. Simon Robinson.
