The MSc Executive Leadership Military Route has been designed to provide a rigorous fast track postgraduate degree option for officers and WO’s.
The route offers full recognition of the HM Force’s internal professional development training by providing you with advanced standing of 60 level 7 credits (equal to a postgraduate certificate) for senior military service personnel, those holding the rank of Lieutenants (RN), Captains (Army), Flight Lieutenants (RAF) and Warrant Officers WO2 can directly enter the programme at Postgraduate Diploma level.
This applied learning programme offers you a truly transformational experience as you will be studying alongside other experienced and ambitious professionals from a diverse range of management backgrounds. You will be learning by working with peers with all assessment being applied in to your selected work place.
This programme will equip you with all the essential management language, tools and techniques of business leaders to develop advanced decision making skills that are indispensable for working in a complexity of organisations and business environments.
This fast track route is open to regular and reserve forces. Candidates can elect to only undertake the postgraduate diploma if they so wish.

Requires candidates to complete four taught modules and a dissertation to gain the award of MSc.
Leadership Self and Creating the Future (Four Days - Assessed Group Presentation and 4,000 word Work Based Assessment)
The module provides the opportunity for you to critically review your leadership capabilities set in context to your current and future professional aspirations.
The Board the Executive and Good Governance (Three Days - 6,000 word Work Based Assessment)
The module enables you to delve into the world of the boardroom and consider the roles of both executive and non-executive directors and consider the roles directors, and the board, plays in ensuring effective, ethical and good governance practice. The module enables you to consider how to become and stay a director.
Work Based Learning Exploration (Two Days - 6,000 word Work Based Assessment)
The work-based learning module provides a highly effective and applied learning route that is ideal for busy professionals working in demanding work place settings. The module enables you to design your own learning programme, be this conducting an in-house project, or reviewing your future needs.
Dissertation with Research Methods (Two Days - 3,000 word Dissertation Proposal) and Dissertation (includes one-to-one supervision, 18,000 word Work Based Assessment)
The Research Methods and Dissertation module provides you with the opportunity to undertake supervised, independent research on a topic of your choice and to apply your research skills to produce a dissertation to assist with your professional development.
