Applicant Exercises

Given that schools and colleges are closed, that this summer’s exams and assessments have been cancelled, and that some of you may be returning to study after a break from education, we have prepared some legal exercises for you to think about, should you wish to do so. If you would like to send us your answers for feedback, please email them to - we will then review them and send back some comments. Please rest assured that none of these exercises will impact upon our offer of a place at Leeds Beckett.

Nazia is an Online Learning Tutor who currently lives in Leeds. Before joining Leeds Beckett, Nazia spent several years in legal practice. She is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales (non-practising) and represented clients in the areas of Prison Law, Crime, Mental Health, Family and Children’s law. After crossing to academia, Nazia spent five years teaching on the LLB and LLM programmes at Bradford Law School and a further five years teaching at the University of Liverpool on the Family Law, Children’s Rights and English Legal System modules. During this time Nazia completed a post-graduate teaching diploma and became a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Nazia recently completed her PhD research in the area of Private International Law and the operation of the Hague Convention on cross-border parental child abduction.
