This year there are nine categories in the Golden Robes Awards list. All of these categories aim to celebrate the amazing work that goes on in the University. Filling in a nomination takes no time at all and students can submit any number of different nominations. So whether it’s one staff member in one category or multiple staff members per single category, that’s OK. Students can nominate their choices here.
The categories are as follows:
Is your personal tutor the best? The personal tutor award will go to the member of staff who has been an outstanding figure of support for students, guiding and giving advice through the journey of a degree.
This category is for those staff who go the extra mile with feedback, whether it's written, audio or digital feedback it's always the best. This is not only the kind of feedback that clarifies a grade, it also enables personal development.
This award will be presented to the staff member who has made a supreme effort to encourage students and keep them going through challenging times in life or study.
A special category specifically for those members of staff, academic or non-academic, whose work provides essential support, adds value, or even just brightens the day of Leeds Beckett students but who might not always get the recognition they deserve.
This award is for those teaching staff who bring new ideas to the teaching environment, they might experiment with how they deliver lecture/seminars and use new teaching techniques. They may also use creative and captivating technology in class making sure that learning is inspirational and memorable.
