Sport and Active Lifestyles

Stay fit and healthy over the summer by accessing the sports facilities and classes.

The gym facilities at Headingley Campus will be open from 07:15 – 22:00 on weekdays and from 08:15 – 19:00 on weekends.

The facilities at City Campus will be open from 06:45 – 19:00 on weekdays.

Library services

The library will remain open 24/7 during the break but will be closed for a short period on 24 and 25 August.

Remember that you will need your campus card to enter the Sheila Silver Library during the day and both libraries during the night.

If you don’t need your books over the summer, please return them to the library. Any item that you still have on loan will continue to renew every week unless another student reserves it, or it reaches the maximum number of renewals. We’ll email your university email account if we need you to return your books, so please remember to check it regularly. You’ll then have 7 days to return the item. Please also remember to cancel any Reservations you no longer need so that other students can use the books.

If you’re at home you can still access your work via OneDrive or via the Files tab in MyBeckett and use Discover for fast and easy searching of our books and journals.

You can also visit other university libraries via the SCONUL Access Scheme (connect to the eduroam wireless network before you leave Leeds so you can use your laptop when you go).

MyBeckett will be unavailable to all students and staff from 17:00 on 2 August until 17:00 on 6 August. This is to allow for the system’s annual upgrade. We apologise for any inconvenience.

IT Services

The IT service desk and media equipment loans desk hours (from 28 May) are Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00 – you can access the desks in the library.
