Beckett Rio 16 LIVE

-

Our athletes have been starring in Rio over the past 10 days.

Tom Bosworth secured a superb sixth place in the 20km Race Walk on Friday while Emily Scarratt captained Team GB’s Women’s Rugby Sevens to fourth as the sport made its inaugural Olympic appearance.

With just under a week of the games left, there is still plenty of action left to come.

Yona Knight-Wisdom will become Jamaica’s first Olympic male diver when he takes his place in the 3m Springboard preliminaries on Monday night. Meanwhile fellow Sport and Exercise Science graduate Sarah Barrow makes her first appearance in the Maria Lenk Aquatics Centre when she competes in the 10m platform on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, Laura Weightman runs in her second successive 1,500m Olympic final and on Thursday there are high hopes for Alistair Brownlee as he defends the Triathlon crown he won at London 2012. We’ll be bringing you all the action and reaction live here.
