School teams to help students create future at UCAS fair

Teams from two Leeds Beckett schools will be on-hand to help future students find their path to an ideal career at the UCAS Create your future fair.

Colleagues from the School of Film, Music and Performing Arts and the School of Creative Technologies and Engineering will be providing expert advice, guidance and insights to attendees at London’s ExCel Hall on Monday 15 October and Tuesday 16 October.

The two-day event is one of a number being organised as part of UCAS’s flagship Create your future programme, which aims to inform young people aged 16-19 of the different creative, media or performance subject options available to them.

The event gives students the opportunity to speak to university colleagues face-to-face, get a taste of potential course content through stage seminars and take part in interactive workshops.

Last year, over 80% of attendees went on to apply for university, making this event potentially a deciding factor in students deciding where they are going to study in the future.
