Success for Leeds Met at BUCS Big Wednesday
The UK's top universities' sporting teams did battle in a day of epic sporting action at our Headingley Campus.
Leeds Met's men's rugby league team ran out 52-10 winners against Loughborough at Headingley Carnegie Stadium to be crowned student champions for a record eight consecutive year.
At the Arena the men's basketball side suffered a heartbreaking defeat as they fell narrowly short against a strong Worcester outfit. In front of a loud and partisan side the Worcester team won 71-62 in a thrilling final.
Leeds Met BSc (Hons) Broadcast Media Technologies students worked alongside our University's Video Production team to live stream all of the action from the Arena.
