Event DetailsMonday 6th - Tuesday 7th April 2020
09:30 – 17:00
Broadcasting Place, City Campus, Leeds Beckett University
Out of the box, WordPress can look a bit dull. Even a brand new theme never looks quite as impressive as the preview that sold it to you. This course puts control back in your hands, showing you how to build web pages with ready-made design modules, and configure their look and feel.
After you complete this course you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the different design possibilities a page builder offers you. You’ll be able to add features to your web pages, like image sliders, maps and call-to-action buttons. We do this through taught exercises and guided experimentation.
By day two you’ll be customising your own WordPress website so bring access to your dashboard, plus any specific questions and ideas. Your tutor will give one-to-one help, specific to your website.
Novice to intermediate users of WordPress. You’ll have a good working knowledge of WordPress and be able to manage content within the dashboard.
You're a small business owner, graphic designer, hobbyist, or work in marketing. Perhaps you’ve experimented with WordPress themes, but you’d like greater control over the look and feel of your website. You prefer drag-and-drop visual design tools to hacking CSS/HTML/PHP code.
You’d like your front-end web pages to look slicker, with interactive features and better design elements. You’re fairly confident using WordPress, but you want to build confidence with a seasoned expert on-hand to guide you through this next step in your growth.
WordPress for beginners course, or a good understanding of WordPress fundamentals (you know how to manage content using the dashboard). You don’t need to know any programming languages.
Bring access to your own WordPress website (username, password, web address), or buy and setup a new web hosting account during the course.
(The price is inclusive and as an education provider we do not charge VAT.)
