Closure FAQs

Why is the clinic closing?

The clinic is closing this summer, following the closure of the Master of Osteopathy course at the University of which this clinic was an integral part.

Where else can I go for musculoskeletal (MSK) services?

There are a range of options depending on your specific requirements – including: The NHS / MSK services available through your GP, other Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, or Sports Therapists / Rehabilitators. To find a GOsC registered Osteopath please use www.osteopathy.org.uk/register-search/.

Sports pass holding Staff and Students are eligible to access our Sports Injury / Massage Clinic; www.leedsbeckett.ac.uk/sport/facilities/sports-injury-treatment-clinic/.

How do I know whether a private MSK practitioner is regulated and professional?

How do I get a full copy of my notes?

Prior to the closure of the clinic we have been able to provide patients with a free summary of your problems and how we have been managing them for you to take with you to another practitioner. Unfortunately, now the clinic is closed we are only able to offer a full copy of your notes, should you want to access your full notes there will be an administration fee of £35.

Where will my notes be kept and how can I access them in the future if I need to?

They will be stored securely in accordance with GOsC regulations with limited access by authorised personnel only by the university. Please contact sca-reception@leedsbeckett.ac.uk.
