Person-Environment Relationship and its ability to afford or constrain Health Related Behaviours

The Challenge

This project sets out to understand how the person-environment relationship affords health related practices. To achieve this, focus is placed on the decisions people make, the experiences they have and meanings they create with respect to a large countywide healthy lifestyle programme.

The Approach

A qualitative approach to this study will enable a greater understanding of the complexity that exists within the relationship between the person and their environment.

Patient and public involvement

Clients of OneLife Suffolk will be interviewed during the second phase of this study.

The Impact

This will allow a greater understanding of how the relationship between the person and their environment plays a fundamental role in positive and negative behaviours, importantly in a local context.
