March 2015 saw the online publication of the Our Criminal Past special issue for Law, Crime and History. We are indebted to the authors for their contributions, and to Kim Stevenson and Judith Rowbotham for their support of the network.

Details about the Network events that were held between 2013 and 2014 can be found on the Event Archive tab of the website.

Please see the links below for reviews of those events.

  • Law, Crime and History Review 1.
  • Law Crime and History Review 2.
  • Law Crime and History Review 3.

We also took part in the Canterbury Prison Heritage Event on 20 March 2015, organised by Maryse Tennant,  of Canterbury Christ Church University, along with our friends from The Digital Panopticon.

Of course, we’ve also been keeping up with followers on the @ourcriminalpast Twitterfeed, and concentrating on getting our website up and running in its new format. Our thanks go to Leeds Beckett University for providing a new home for the site.

Over the next few months we aim to publish blogs and guest blogs which highlight the themes of the network: the preservation, presentation and public transmission of our criminal past.

We are very open to member contributions to the website, so please get in touch if you would like to write about a theme or topic that you think we might be interested in.
