Palgrave Macmillan is a publisher with over 170 years history (formerly as Macmillan) and an excellent reputation in the humanities. They have a great list in literature, history, media and cultural studies, amongst others and a number of staff from the Centre for Culture & the Arts are publishing with Palgrave already. Palgrave are supporting the Leeds Cultural Conversations series.
Other plans include a regular seminar series for postgraduate research and early career scholars with Palgrave editors on preparing a book proposal, approaching publishers, and adapting a PhD into a monograph. There are also plans for a major Campaign for the Humanities event in 2016 at Leeds Beckett University and a number of Palgrave Pivot publications based on the Centre for Culture & the Arts strands and activities.
