Do the thing you love

We design our courses to meet the standards demanded by leading organisations in the events, tourism and hospitality sectors. Contemporary academic research and perspectives from leading practitioners inform our approach to education and help us to be innovative. As a result, we have an excellent record of graduate employment and a strong network of influential alumni.

In 2017, we were rated five stars, the highest available ranking by QS, the international university benchmarking agency for courses in hospitality and leisure management. Our BSc (Hons) Hospitality Business Management and MSc International Tourism and Hospitality Management programmes are accredited by the Institute of Hospitality. This accreditation is recognition that our programmes meet recognised standards of professional knowledge, skills and understanding and are relevant to the needs of the industry. The United Nations World Tourism Organisation has also acknowledged the excellence of our work by granting us TED Qual certification for our MSc in Responsible Tourism Management.

Many of our courses offer a sandwich year option, giving you a one-year placement in industry, with real-life work experience and the contacts needed to enhance your employment prospects once you graduate.

QS Rated 5 Stars for Excellence

“When I was searching for a postgraduate degree, Leeds Beckett really stood out because the course was so specific and focused. The modules were a great mixture of classroom learning and practical experience - I even had the opportunity to spend four months as an intern at the London 2012 Olympics, something I could never have done if I hadn't come to study here.”
