Adult swimming lessons
Delivered by a trained swim teacher, groups of up to 10 adults will be able to learn or improve within the water with support tailored to you.

Using our Pool
Our pool is lifeguarded at all times. If you have any medical conditions that they need to be aware of, please let them know as you arrive.
We have a manually operated hoist for access into the pool. If you require this please ask at reception so that our Operational Staff can get this ready for you to use. Staff will remain on poolside until you are comfortable in the water. The hoist will remain on poolside whilst you swim.
Suitable swimwear includes:
- swimming costume/shorts/trunks designed for water-based activities
- body suit or burquini designed for water-based activities
- leggings made from a Lycra based material
- a Lycra based, ‘comfortably’ fitting top/vest
Denim, cotton, wool or loose-fitting clothing not designed for swimming should not be worn in the pool.
Pool prices and information
Use of Leeds Beckett's swimming pool is included at no extra charge for customers with a Sport and Active Lifestyles membership, which also offers you a host of other perks and opportunities, depending on your membership type.
Customers without a membership can also use our swimming pool as a guest for just £5 a session, which can be paid when you come and visit the Carnegie Sports Centre at Headingley Campus
