Everything you need to know

Train to be the best

Our Football teams train twice a week on our purpose built, fully floodlit, rubber crumb 3G pitch. You’ll have weekly Strength and Conditioning sessions, video analysis / match prep and recovery sessions. During the season you'll have one game a week on a Wednesday. Nothing compares to the Wednesday afternoon buzz around campus and you can be sure to find some supporters close by!

All training is scheduled around your studies, taking up around 15-20 hours of your time weekly, spread over four to five days including evening and weekends.

Equipment

All players will need to provide their own boots and shin guards. Goalkeepers will be expected to provide their own gloves.

Silver club mark

The women's football team has been awarded the Silver LBU Club Mark for 2022/23

We have been supporting students to reach their potential through the scheme since 2002. Famous alumni that have benefitted from the scheme include Lucy Bronze, Alistair Brownlee, Alex Yee, Emily Scarratt, Vicky Fleetwood, Laura Weightman and Tom Bosworth.

Leeds Beckett awards a number of sports scholarships to high performing athletes each year who are committed to upholding the values of the university and willing to represent Leeds Beckett in BUCS events. Scholarships are also awarded to those who demonstrate the ability to progress and achieve high levels of success in their chosen sports.

  • Men - Be a regular contributor to a 1st team squad in step 3 of non league or above.

How to get involved

Due to its immense popularity the club has an invite-only pre-season programme in September, which is supported by a lengthy trials process which generally attracts 500 new players. 70 players will be invited to join the club in preparation for the start of BUCS Fixtures October.

If you’re interested in taking part in the trials for next seasons please get in touch with Head Coach Ruth.

Further trial information will be circulated on the club social media pages:
