Social Leagues
Our Social Leagues, provide you the opportunity to play sport for fun in a competitive environment. We offer two sports: 7-a-side football and Netball. All equipment and officials are provided.
To be eligible to play in our leagues you must be a student or staff member. Teams can be made up from halls, courses, societies or a group of friends, so get your team together and sign up today!
7-a-side Football Leagues
Our 7-a-side football leagues are played on our fantastic 3G synthetic turf pitch at Headingley Campus. There are two leagues each semester. They take place on:
Sundays, 7pm-9pm and Wednesday’s, 5pm-7pm.
- Semester One Sunday League commences: 7th October 2018
- Semester One Wednesday League commences:10th October 2018
- Semester Two Sunday League commences: 3rd February 2019
- Semester Two Wednesday League commences: 6th February 2019
Netball Leagues
Our social netball league is one of Sport & Active Lifestyles most popular programmes. Played indoors in the Carnegie Sports Centre at Headingley Campus, the league is open to males and females, and caters for all ability levels. The league takes place on:
Thursdays, 6pm-9pm.
- Semester One League commences: 11th October 2018
- Semester Two League commences: 7th February 2019

To register your team please log onto the online store and pay your £175 team league fee. * This is the equivalent of £2.20 per game based on a full team of 10 players, the minimum number of players per team is 7.
All league costs are paid up front so all you need to worry about is getting to the pitch on time for your fixture.
Our Social Leagues are not included in your sport or AU membership.
