About Dr Caroline Hemingray
Caroline is a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for BA Fashion Marketing in the School of Art, Architecture & Design.
Caroline leads the Visual Communication for Fashion modules on the Fashion Marketing course; equipping students with the practical, digital, creative and critical thinking skills required to produce professional and exciting work for both digital and printed fashion media.
Throughout her career Caroline has been involved in fashion and textiles from a variety of perspectives including design, technology and industry. Caroline has a BA (Hons) in Textile Design and a PhD from the University of Leeds in Textile Colouration and Colour Prediction.
Caroline is currently teaching on the following modules;
- Visual Communication for Fashion 1
- Fashion Forecasting
- Fashion Brands 1
- Contextual Studies 1
Caroline is particularly interested in the sustainability of the fashion and textile industry and approaches the future of textiles from both a design and technology perspective. She has also undertaken research in the area of textile comfort and performance, working with international companies including Unilever and Canterbury of New Zealand.
