Dr James Musgrave

Head of Subject

James has extensive experience in research, consultancy, and training across a number of sectors such as events, hospitality and international manufacturing. His current interests are in corporate social responsibility, pro-environmental behaviour change and sustainable knowledge transfer.

Throughout his academic career, James has focused on sustainable management. Working with various national and international organisation, such as Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Association of British Conference Organisers (ABPCO) and Positive Impact, he has used his research to critically evaluate current sustainable practice in the event industry and influence change.

As Head of UK Centre for Events Management, James works hard to support the resilience and recovery of the event industry. As executive board member for ABPCO, Business of Events Advisor and All Party Parliamentary Group member for events, he has a direct influence on the development of strategic responses to industry wide issues.
